What is Elveos?

Elveos is a crowdfunding website dedicated to the creation of content under a free license. Crowdfunding website allow people to gather their money to finance a project. Elveos offers such a crowdfunding service but differs greatly from other crowdfunding sites:

• It is dedicated to a very specific kind of projects: creation of content under a free license such as creative commons or GPL
• Like in other crowdfunding websites, people can use Elveos to finance their own projects. Elveos also offers someone with an idea he cannot achieve to create the project on Elveos. People will then be able to offer  to create the project for a given sum of money.
• When someone decides to contribute on Elveos, he indicates a sum of money. Elveos then take this money and place it on a frozen account. The money is given to the creator only when the project is complete. This offer a double warranty: warranty for the developer that the money is available when he starts working ; warranty for the contributor that the project will be complete (or that he’ll be reimbursed)
